Center in Development Membership

Centers in Development are groups that are in the early stages of exploring the concept of shared space and its application to their communities.

All projects that have not yet opened their doors are eligible for this special introductory rate. Most ‘Center in Development’ members join CSN 1-3 years before their space is open and operating. Groups can be in various stages of development to be ‘Center in Development’ members including those who are:

  • Wanting to learn more about community spaces
  • Exploring the concept
  • In pre-development stages
  • In visioning and planning processes
  • In design and construction 
  • Anywhere in the development process before opening doors

What are other ‘Center in Development’ members saying?

Teal Street Center is a project of the United Human Services of SE Alaska (UHS), a longtime member of CSN. Over the many years of our journey, UHS has tapped into a number of valuable CSN resources. UHS board and staff have traveled to CSN face-to-face conferences/training to gain inspiration and guidance and to tour other centers. CSN consultants traveled to Juneau, Alaska, and proved helpful in facilitating a community forum and the vetting of two options for relocation/expansion. We also recommend taking CSN up on the hour of consulting that comes with CSN membership–these folks have been around the block! Lastly, the newly minted virtual regional cohorts are proving a good way to learn from one another–thank you CSN!
