Throughout the 20 year history of Community Spaces Network (formerly the Nonprofit Centers Network) we have been committed to the idea that community spaces matter and that every community deserves a place to gather, belong, and collaborate. In an effort to increase access to and awareness of community spaces across North America, we have recently been working on our Community Spaces Map, and imagining what it might look like in the next 20 years. Our vision is that of a future when every community has access to the space it needs to be sustainable, healthy, and vibrant, and we believe that quality community serving spaces and multi-tenant nonprofit centers are at the center of making that vision a reality. After 20 years of building the community spaces ecosystem with our CSN members and all of you, we are so grateful for every single pin on the map, and know that each and every space listed matters to their community. We are grateful for all the amazing social purpose real estate we seen come to life, the current members and nonprofit centers we are inspired by today, and for how many more community spaces we know we’ll be adding over the next two decades and beyond.
