The Kukui Children’s Foundation owns and operates the Kukui Center, an 18,000-square-foot nonprofit facility located near downtown Honolulu. The Center was designed to bring a variety of social service agencies together in one accessible location so children, youth, and families can more easily receive the support they need without the barriers of navigating multiple sites and referrals.
The Center also serves as a hub for training, meetings, volunteer engagement, and collaborative community initiatives. Its shared-service model reduces costs for nonprofit agencies while increasing access to coordinated programs, resources, and support systems that strengthen outcomes for Hawaiʻi’s children and families.
The Kukui Center’s core purpose is to strengthen services through collaboration, cooperation, and co-location. By sharing space, resources, training opportunities, and community partnerships, the tenant agencies are able to maximize their impact and respond more effectively to community needs. Since opening in 2009, the Center serves over 30,000 children and families annually while fostering a strong network of support, innovation, and collective service across Hawaiʻi.
What is one interesting fact about your space?
Because the Kukui Children’s Foundation owns the building, we offer extremely low rent for our tenant agencies which allows them to conserve their scarce financial resources to maximize their impact in the community.
