For the past 22 years, Creative Blueprint has inspired a global network of catalysts and change makers, helping innovative organizations, social enterprises and collectives thrive. They ensure their clients achieve their vision – as well as meaningful impact – through authentic engagement and meaningful partnerships with their local community.
Creative Blueprint works with neighbourhood residents, community organizers, unions, collectives, coworking leaders, community groups, policy makers, artists, activists, allies and all levels of government to break down barriers and work collaboratively to develop essential, community-owned assets.
Projects include: 312 Main: Centre for Social & Economic Innovation (Vancouver), XPACE and The Foundery Buildings (Toronto), CB Studios & Gallery (Seattle), Social Innovation Hub (Calgary), COHIP, Coworking Canada, and Sierra Shared Spaces – Lake Isabella Community Hub (California).
What is one interesting fact about your space?
Creative Blueprint’s first project was developed in 2003 to support the students of the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) with an off-campus hub as they navigated the ‘Superbuild Renovation Project’. The space has evolved over time to meet the changing needs of the community, but 22 years after launching, it is still going strong – student-funded, and student-run!
Creative Blueprint was born in Toronto’s Kensington Market, and they now develop Community Hubs across North America.
What are your favorite resources that you would recommend to others?
We believe it’s important to share the knowledge and experience we have gained over the past 22 years in Coworking, Community Building, and Social Purpose Real Estate Development, so we lead and participate in many collaborative alliances such as the Community Spaces
Network, Future of Work Alliance, Canadian Network of Community Land Trusts, and Coworking Canada.
The best source of knowledge is from our neighbours. We all have unique experience and expertise to share!
